Straight Talk About Aspartame
Is aspartame poisoning an urban myth? Some doctors say so, the FDA says so, and snopes says so. Why would they say it was safe if it wasn’t true?
“Above all else, do no harm.”
Ever hear that phrase? It’s from the Hippocratic Oath. Too bad not all doctors swear in by it any [...]

Open Letter To European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)
November 10, 2009

By Dr. Betty Martini,D.Hum
To EFSA:
I have sent you, and UK’s Food Standards, evidence that FDA hid studies damning aspartame and then used them to approve the chemical as pivotal studies: I know the aspartame review is next week and I want to make sure all this data is included.
Below is the admission [...]

Just want express my thanks for keeping up this website!
It’s very informative and for me a way to let others understand why I can’t take artificial sweeteners. I am a bit obese and many well-wishing people have tried to feed me sugar-substitutes, thinking they would help me. But luckily I am allergic to aspartame, my body won’t accept the artificial structure and I get nauseous and will end up vomiting when taking in aspartame. In some cases combined with dizzy spells.
Here in Singapore where I live, they do not always display on the packaging that aspartame is one of the ingredients.
I really hope that your website helps to make more people aware of the dangers of artificial products. Keep up the good work and wishing you strength with coping with the loss of your father and helping your mother!
First of all, I am very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in memories and carrying on your dad’s wonderful work. I was told many years ago to stay away from Aspartame. I am very allergic to it. My lips would tingle, before I was diagnosed. One day they swoll up so bad I went to the Dr. That is when I found out. He said it was creeping into everything. I try to read labels all the time. Juicy Fruit chewing gum has it now (in case one wonders about the really sweet taste now). I bought Tylenol chewables for my grandchild. (Did not read….until I got home). They had aspartame in them. I THREW them away and contacted Tylenol. They replied with, “There is no harm and will be none.” If the major drug companies think it is OK, then we have a REAL problem. Regular sugar is better for “you” than aspartame could ever be. There was one diet soda that did not have it, but I still stay away from all diet sodas. I hope your website is found by the unbelievers.
